Bernadsky Valentin Danilovich
Bernadsky Valentin Danilovich – was born on January 13, 1917 in the village of Ozeriany, Chernihiv region. He graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I. Repin (1950). Mentors: B. Johanson, M. Bernstein, O. Zaitsev. Painter. He worked in the field of easel painting. The main genres - figurative picture, portrait, landscape, still life. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1950). People`s Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1989) and the Russian Federation (2003). Prize of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (1998). Member of the CPSU. Member of the World War Two. He was awarded with the national awards of the USSR. Awarded with the Order "Badge of Honor" and a medal. He was a professor at the Crimean Art School (1950-1952). Participated in exhibitions: Republican (1954), Union (1950), personal - 1988, 2002 (Kyiv), 1992 (Paris). Major works: "Meeting in Dzhankoy" (1952); "Crimean Autumn" (1959 - 1960); "In the vineyard" (1961); portrait of the Hero of Socialist Labor M. of Macedon (1961); "The Legendary 1920" (1967); "Solar Clusters" (1967); "The Girl in the Fur Coat" (1971); "Almond Blossom" (1972); "Dynasty of grain growers" (1981); "Winners of Wrangel" (1985); "The Girl in the Garden" (1995); "Autumn Flowers" (1998); portraits of the artist V. Apanovich (1969), Honored Art Worker K. Prokhorov (1970), full holder of the Order of Glory I. Klimenko (1974), writer A. Dombrovsky (1989). The heroes of his paintings and portraits are contemporaries whose work and inner world he reflects in his paintings. Works are kept in art museums of Ukraine. He lived and worked in Simferopol, and died on September 21, 2011.
