Burliuk David Davidovich
Burliuk David Davidovich – was born on the 21st of June, 1882 Semiotovshchina village, Kharkiv region. He studied at Kazan Art College, at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich, and F. Cormon`s studio in Paris. Ukrainian and Russian painter, graphic artist, poet, writer, art critic. He worked in the field of book graphics and theatrical-decorative art. One of the leaders of the Russian avant-garde and one of the "Jack of Diamonds" association organizers. He was also a member and exponent of several Moscow art associations and exhibitions. According to his contemporaries, he is "the father of Russian Futurism." The organizer of the futurist group "Gilea". The artist lived and worked in Kazan, Odessa, Munich, Paris, St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Ural. In 1920 the Artist moved to live abroad. The artist died on the 15th ofф January, 1967 in New York.
