Frumina Diаna Mykhaylivna
Frumina Diаna Mykhaylivna – was born on the 13th of April, 1914 in the Ananiev city, Odessa region. She studied at the Odesa Art College and the Kyiv Art Institute. In 1942, due to the evacuation of Kyiv, she moved to Samarkand, Uzbekistan. In the period from 1943 to 1945, she lived and worked in Moscow. Since 1945, member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1943 she participated in exhibitions, and in 1946 in the Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art her first solo exhibition "Etudes of Samarkand" was held. From 1948 to 1968 she taught at the Odessa Art College. The main works: "Landscapes of Samarkand" (1941 - 1943); "In His Own Family" (1942); "Morning" (1947); "Flowers and Vegetables" (1951) and others. Works of the artist are kept in many museums and private collections around the world. Diana Mykhailivna died on the 30th of July, 2005.
