Gerus Boris Stepanovich
Gerus Boris Stepanovich – was born on the 24th of July, 1905 in the Petrovyrovka village, Odessa region. He studied at the Odessa Art Institute. Mentors: T. Fraerman, P. Volokidina. He worked in the easel painting industry. Since 1947 – Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1937 he participated in republican, all-union, and foreign exhibitions. In 1950 in Odessa, a solo exhibition of the artist. The main works: "Gray Day" (1937), "Enemy Over the City" (1947), "After a Hot Day" (1954), "Vineyards" (1963), "Native Land" (1965), "Golden Time" (1969), "Field" (1974), "Wheat field" (1976) and others. The works are represented in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Odesa Museum of Local History, as well as in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died on the 4th of March, 1998.
