Gorbachenko Volodymyr
Gorbachenko Volodymyr Semenovich – was born on 22nd of April, 1924 in Dnipropetrovsk. He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk State Art College. Mentors: Panin M., Pogrebnyak N., Vandalovsky A. He participated in the Second World War. Since 1951 he has taken part in regional, republican, and all-Union exhibitions. The first personal exhibition was held in 1961 in Dnepropetrovsk. In the '60s-70s, Gorbachenko worked in the all-Union creative groups (Crimea, the Baltic States) and the republican group on the Dnipro-Donbass channel. He painted landscapes, still life, sometimes – figurative art, portraits, and sketches. He created many industrial landscapes. His works are kept in the Dnepropetrovsk Art Museum, the Museum of Ukrainian Painting (Dnipro), and private collections. The artist died on the 16th of July, 1987.
