Ocheretko Yakiv Omelyanovich – was born on the 27th of March, 1916 at Nikolaevka Bowery, Poltava region. He studied at the Kyiv Art Institute. He worked in the easel painting industry. Major works: "Partisan commissar M. Rudnev" (1949); "Bukovina forest in Kakhovka" (1952); "Olexa Dovbush" (1954), "Lukyan Kobilitsa" (1957); "Duma of Bukovina" (1960) and others. The Artist died in 1996.
