Samusev Fedir Opanasovych
Samusev Fedir Opanasovych – was born on the 19th of September, 1913 in Novoraysk village, Bryansk region of Russia. He studied at Penza Art College and Kyiv State Art Institute. Mentor: Shovkunenko A.A. During the Second World War he continued his studies in Samarkand, then in Zagorsk near Moscow. After liberation, Kyiv returned home. Since 1945 he participated in republican, all-Union, and foreign exhibitions. Worked in the field of easel painting. Author of thematic paintings, portraits, and landscapes. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Main works: "In the Days of October" (1947), "Success" (1954), "Milkmaids" (1957), "Free Time" (1962), "Its Destiny" (1963), "Architects" (1971) and others. His works are kept in museums, galleries, and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Fedir Opanasovich died in 1985.
