Sholtes Zoltan Ivanovich
Sholtes Zoltan Ivanovich – was born on the 21st of July 1909 in the Prikopa village in Transcarpathia. He studied at the Uzhgorod Art School. Mentors: Bokshay I., Erdeli A. In 1933 Uzhgorod held the first personal exhibition of the artist. Since 1945 he has taken part in republican, all-Union, and international exhibitions. Since 1946, a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1965 he was elected as a main artist of the production workshops of the Art Foundation. In the period from 1965 to 1972 he headed the artistic council of the Art Fund of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1975, Honored Artist of Ukraine. In 1988, he took part in the joint exhibition together with Gavriil Martynovich Gluck in Budapest. Works are represented in museums and private collections in Ukraine, and abroad. The artist died in 1990.
