ABOUT THE ARTIST: Afanasyev Volodymir Ilyich – was born on 9th of November, 1953 in Dnepropetrovsk city. He graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1982). Mentors: V. Vyrodova-Gotye, A. Tishchenko. Painter and restorer. He works in the field of landscape, and still life. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1993). He taught at the Dnipropetrovsk Theater and Art College. Participated in exhibitions: regional and republican (1993); personal in Dnepropetrovsk (2003). The main works are "Quiet Courtyard" (1986), "March" (1987, 1993), "Spring Etude" (1990), "Malvy" (1995), "Moonlight Night" (1997), "Verbki" (2000), "Dnepr" (2002). Works are kept in the Dnepropetrovsk Art Museum. The Artist died in 2024.
