ABOUT THE ARTIST: Karpushevsky Vasyl Mykhailovych – was born on September 29, 1917, in the city of Kyiv. In 1937, he entered the Kyiv Art Institute. In 1949, he graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute, where he was a student of Volodymyr Kostetsky and Georgy Melikhov. The diploma painting's name is "In the liberated village". During 1949-1951 he taught at the Kyiv School of Applied Arts. Lived and worked in Kyiv. The artist died on December 26, 1990.
