ABOUT THE ARTIST: Shishko Sergiy Fedorovich – was born on the 25th of June 1911 in the Nosivka village, Chernihiv region. An outstanding Ukrainian painter, a master of landscape and still life. He studied at the Kyiv Art Institute. Mentor: Fedir Krichevsky. He studied at the Leningrad Academy of Arts. Mentor: Boris Ioganson. National Artist of Ukraine since 1964. National Artist of the USSR since 1974. The artist`s works are represented in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Simferopol, Sumy, Odesa, Chernihiv, and many other art museums and private collections. The artist died on the 26th of April 1997.
