ABOUT THE ARTIST: Vira Veniamynivna Dovgalevska – was born on 21st of August, 1916 in Skvira town, Kiev region. She studied at the Kiev Art College and Kiev Art Institute. Teachers: Trokhimenko K., Krichevsky F., Volokidin P., Yeleva K. Since 1957, she participates in republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. Since 1963, a member of the Kiev organization of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Worked in the field of easel painting. The master of portrait, still life and landscape. The main works: "Still Life with Flowers" (1950), "Poppies" (1953), "Flowers" (1957), "Tenderness" (1959), "Still Life with Speedo and Lilacs" (1960), "Girl in Red hat" (1969), "Spring Still Life" (1981). The artist's works are presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died in 1999.
