Yerzhikovsky Sergiy Mykolaevich
Yerzhikovsky Sergiy Mykolaevich – was born on the 23rd of April 1895 in Vilno city (now Vilnius). Studied at the picturesque school of Vilna, Kyiv Art Institute. Mentors: Krychevsky F., Rybakov I. Worked in the field of easel painting and graphics. He is the author of figurative paintings on historical themes and lyrical landscapes. Since 1927 he participated in republican, all-Union exhibitions. The first personal exhibition took place in Buguruslan in 1942. Main works: paintings "Woodcutters" (1927); "Love" (1935); "In Stalingrad" (1947); Lenin in the Tatrah (1951); a portrait of "Shovkunenko O." (1969) and others. The artist died on the 15th of December, 1989.
